Thanks for stopping by, I'm so glad you're here! I'm Pyper (Holt) Nelson, a Southern Utah-based couples photographer who’s all about capturing candid, meaningful moments that you can keep forever. My sessions are stress free, fun, and designed to help you feel confident in front of the camera. I focus on capturing individual portraits, weddings, couples, and small families.


I shoot digital, 35mm film, and Super 8 video to give your photos a mix of modern and nostalgic feel.


While I call Southern Utah home, I’m always excited to explore new places. Whether you're planning an intimate elopement in the mountains, a golden-hour session in the desert, or a celebration on the coast, I’ll be there to document it all.

FAQ

How many pictures will we receive?

For a 1 hour shoot, you will receive 60+ edited photos in color and black and white. For weddings, you will receive 200+ edited photos.

Where are you based and do you travel?

I'm based in St. George, UT and I love to travel! Contact me and we can talk travel fees if you live anywhere else! :)

When will we get our photos?

For standard 1 hour shoots, your photos will be ready in 3 weeks! For weddings, turnaround time is 6-8 weeks. You will be sent a gallery where you can download all the photos, share them, and choose your favorites!

What is your booking process?

1. Fill out an inquiry on my booking page and you will hear from me within a few days
2. We chat more about details and your vision!
3. I will write up a contract for each of us to sign
4. You pay the deposit and we each the sign the contract
5. The remaining amount is due the week of the shoot (wedding payment plans are available)
6. Photoshoot!!!
7. Your photos will be returned in 3 weeks for 1 hour sessions and 6-8 weeks for weddings via an online gallery

What should I wear?

Wear something you feel comfortable and beautiful in! It is usually best to wear more neutral or earthy tones like whites, creams, browns, and blacks.
Avoid saturated and neon colors as they take the focus away from you.

Fun tip: mix textures and add layers to your outfits to help create depth and emotion. This can also help your photos feel more natural and cinematic.
